I’ve been seeing more and more peep toe booties on the runway.
Chanel paired peep toe booties with mid calf length skirts.
Jimmy Choo has a similar version available now.

The Chanel store, located at the base of the Drake hotel, featured its FW2010 collection in their window displays. Fake icebergs…sculpted Styrofoam…
I suppose this takes place in the Arctic. Where else would they have access to the fur? I don’t think Antarctica has furry animals and polar bears live up North. But faux creatures can live anywhere.
Accessorize yourself in the arctic…
Chanel necklaces.
Short dresses + Sasquatch boots.
I bet they won’t slip on thin ice.
Pretty Chanel flower adornments.
I tried to find a boot like this on Zappos. It looks like a plain boot–but Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor, Urban Outfitters and Zappos doesn’t carry anything similar. Too bad.
Chanel Jackets from the FW2010 collection.
Chanel store at night.
Warm Chanel winter coat with animal skin at the bottom.
Wonderful window shopping…
I loved most pieces from yesterday’s Chanel’s 2010 Couture collection. Here are my favorites (photos from Style.com):
Comfy business attire
How can I get this dress made for me? I love how it looks like they took an oversized dress with big shoulders fitted to this model.
I love black crepe/black translucent.
Zig zags in some of my favorite shades.
Half sleeve, but shoulderless.
Boots and jewelry, all so fantastic!
Karl Lagerfeld shot for Chanel’s Spring Summer 2010′s ad campaign.
The following few were stunning when I first laid eyes on them. Since seeing them everywhere, they’re not as special.
This reminds me of vampires…
This one is exceptional–the image wasn’t used as much. I like how dark and desolate it looks. Really contrasts the light and pure nature of the wispy tulle. She is Tess of the d’Urbervilles.
Behind the scenes!!!
Yummy green! Glitter and quilting!
Clogs decorated with yarn flowers.
An entire rack of Chanel!

Amazing! Chanel content!
Karl Lagerfeld directs several short films featuring models in Chanel.
Remember Now - a glimpse into the capricious fantasy lifestyle of long legged models who wear Chanel all the time – a bit unsavory. A model in her twenties cozies up to a much older man. Really captures the uneasy feeling that comes with partying with extremely image conscious folks.
They’re all working so hard to look like they’re having the most amazing time. There’s a scene that takes place on the morning after the models hit the club. Everyone is lounging on couches in Pamela’s Villa. Then, out of nowhere, someone says, “let’s dance!” and everyone gets up and switches from lounging and looking tired to being extremely hyper and performing coordinated dance moves–suddenly, they collapse back down again to sleep. I felt their pain for a second. It sucks to have to look so pretty and carefree all the time.
Heidi Mount plays Pamela, who has a party at her “villa”.
Leigh Lazark DJs at the club.
Lagerfeld resurrects St. Tropez’s past through younger emulations of Mick Jagger (Freja Beha Erichsen), Bridget Bardot (Magdalena Frackowiak), and Jane Birkin (Abbey Lee Kershaw).
Vol De Jour – similar flavors, capricious models who blatantly shop lift at several Chanel stores including the one on Rue Cambon
“Paris-Shanghai: A Fantasy” – The Trip That Coco Chanel Only Made In Her Dreams – A tad bit uncomfortable to watch. Felt the issue of being Politically Correct emerge. Perhaps it’s because it was a bit too politically correct? It’s strange. Also, the Coco in this movie seems a bit insecure and nasty. There are great scenes from her actual apartment.
Despite the uneasy story lines, the dresses, jackets, accessories were all impeccable.
Loved the thermal camera at the fall/winter 2010 show.
The Vanessa Paradis interview was exciting to watch as well.
