Gaudi knock off pole

Sportmax windows in Soho feature Mondrian and Gaudi. Not sure where the art intersects with the fashion. The window props are funky. Mannequins stepping over Mondrian and gypsy pants near a Gaudi inspired pole.

Sea of Shoes is a great fashion blog that focuses on designer shoes. The author is a young lady from Austin and the photos are amazing. The outfits and clothes she features with the shoes are quite unique and delightful.

Since April 2007.

Not sure what the appeal is…the billboard is incredibly funny looking.

Tiesto selling watches? Last year, Armani Exchange had him sell T-shirts for a charity.

Here’s a reminder: it’s A|X time!

CK Jeans on Houston

Calvin Klein Jeans ad on Houston between Crosby and Lafayette. Where there is always a CK ad. The above campaign is currently featured in magazines. The photos feature video stills: jagged lines produced from VHS and old TV screens–reminiscent of the recent past? The jagged video lines do look like the texture of jeans overlaid on the photo of the models wearing the jeans. What happened to the traditional minimal black and white CK ads?

Barneys Marc Jacobs Billboard

At the intersection of Greenwhich Avenue and 7th Avenue, there is always an ever changing billboard for Barneys New York featuring Marc Jacobs. This time they are featuring neon colors, plaid, and bubble gum. Not sure what the agreement there is between the two parties, but the billboard is always eye popping and fun. If I were inspired by that billboard to buy something, I’d walk into the many close by Marc Jacobs stores, rather than visit Barneys in Chelsea/Uptown.
